The calendar says that March 20 was the first day of Spring. WRONG ! All cyclists know that Thursday, April 16, the date of our Spring Meeting at the Moat, is the true first day of Spring !
The meeting will include: the latest info on rides, ride schedules and special events; preview of the Kids'Bike Day scheduled for May 2 at Storyland; a chance to sign up to volunteer for one or several of the Valley's rides and races such as Krank the Kanc and the Mt W Hillclimb ; order a club jersey and more.
A special feature will be a brief power point presention titled " Five Minutes in Paradise" an irreverent look at a recent bike trip to Florida by club member Dick Pollock. Adjacent photo is Dick and club member Cam Tascone who lives in Delray Beach, Fla.
This meeting is a great introduction for prospective members, so be sure to bring along a few friends. Club members will start to gather at 5:30 to 6:30 pm with a cash bar and free appies thanks to the Moat. After the meeting (approx 7:30) members are encouraged to stay on for informal conversation and the tasty Moat products.
